I remember the day I returned my attention back to photography. My wife and I were walking in what is now known as Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in Washington State. We had begun a casual interest in birding and without really thinking it through I said (looking back on it – blurted) “Ya know, I think I am going to keep my life list only with the images I capture on camera.” I soon realized what a challenge this really is…especially with the small arboreal songbirds. I have persisted; sometimes in frustration asking myself why even try. To be rewarded with the sheer joy of actually capturing the “Ah ha!” moments.
